Dixie Shrine
Hillbilly Association

The Dixie Shrine Association Hillbillies bring high energy, old-country flair, and competitive spirit to every parade and competition field. With their rustic outfits, backwoods humor, and crowd-pleasing antics, the Hillbillies combine tradition and teamwork into one unforgettable performance.

But don’t let the overalls and suspenders fool you — Dixie Hillbillies are serious competitors.

Each unit is judged on:

  • Team coordination and timing during parade and competition routines

  • Originality and creativity in props, wagons, and themed presentations

  • Showmanship and audience engagement

  • Equipment appearance, including wagons, props, and accessories

  • Uniform consistency, ensuring the team presents a cohesive, polished look

From lively musical numbers and choreographed skits to uniquely decorated wagons and rolling backwoods contraptions, the Hillbillies showcase both humor and discipline. Every member plays a role, and success depends on precision teamwork just as much as personality.

Their performances may look lighthearted, but behind the fun is preparation, pride, and a commitment to excellence that reflects the values of the Shrine.

The Dixie Shrine Association Hillbillies prove that competition can be spirited, traditions can be celebrated, and fellowship can be as strong as a good piece of mountain moonshine — all while representing their Temples with honor and unity. 🪕
